Trouver des employés de rêve pour votre nouvelle entreprise

As a new franchisee, there are a lot of things that require your attention to keep your business running smoothly. One of the most important is the hiring of qualified employees. Your staff will be the face of the brand and of your point of sale. So you want to make sure that your employees are going to provide impeccable customer service. The good news is that your franchisor will likely be able to guide you and provide you with tools to help you get your team back on track.

  1. Describe your staffing needs in your business plan. Before hiring, you need to know your business needs and have a specific plan in place. Is your establishment run by an owner-operator (i.e. you will be working on site)? Are you looking for a team to entrust with the day-to-day management of your activities? How many employees do you need to hire? What kind of compensation and benefits can you offer them? Do you have any advancement opportunities to offer?
  2. Write detailed job descriptions that are tailored to the tasks. While your franchisor can suggest generic job descriptions, you will need to customize them to your specific needs. Make sure you don’t forget anything, use job site keywords, and capture interest by mentioning attractive benefits like flexible work hours and development opportunities. And remember: you don’t go it alone. Ask other franchisees what has worked for them.
  3. Develop an interview strategy. Have a well-defined strategy, prepare questions in advance, and keep in mind what you are looking for in the candidate. Also plan a good selection process so as not to waste time meeting people who lack the skills required for the job. Again, ask for reinforcements. Inquire about proven methods from your franchise counterparts.
  4. Harness the power of the network. The learning curve can be steep when it comes to running a business or closing a transaction to customer satisfaction. But rejoice: this is a franchise that you operate. Your franchisor probably has some training resources that you can use as a starting point. And again, don’t hesitate to call on other franchisees to find out their secrets and how they trained their team members.
