Our Home Office team is dedicated to your success, and that starts with giving you the tools and training to get you there. New franchisees acquiring a The UPS Store complete a comprehensive four‐phase training program in the order below.

Phase 1. Introduction to The UPS Store Canada Training Program. This portion of the program is virtual and is led by our Director of Operations. This portion of the program is meant to prepare prospective franchisees for the remainder of the training program and includes set up on various learning platforms that will be used while in training and beyond.

Phase 2. Spend three business days (24 hours) in a The UPS Store location with a Certified Trainer. This training period is focused on store operations, technical systems, and an introduction to business acumen.

Phase 3. Spread out over two weeks, spend 9 days (55.5 hours) at The UPS Store University in Oakville, Ontario. The interactive workshop is focused on business acumen including human resources, marketing, operations, sales, and financial management.

Phase 4. Spend 5 days (40 hours) in a The UPS Store location with a Certified Trainer. This training period allows you to further your skills you will have learned at The UPS Store University. An additional 3 days will be dedicated to eLearning sessions with a focus on Operations.

Your learning doesn’t end there. Throughout your time with The UPS Store, you will have opportunities to learn more. You’ll be expected to attend regularly scheduled area meetings to learn and share information. Webinars are held regularly on a variety of topics. Bi‐annual conferences are a great opportunity to pick up new skills, learn more about new products and programs, and to network within your franchisee community.
