Our Home Office team is dedicated to your success, and that starts with giving you the tools and training to get you there. New franchisees acquiring a The UPS Store complete a comprehensive three‐phase training program in the order below.
Phase 1. Spend one week (40 hours) in a The UPS Store location with a Certified Trainer. This training period is focused on store operations, technical systems, and an introduction to business acumen.
Phase 2. Spend 2 weeks (80 hours) at The UPS Store University in Oakville, Ontario. The ten‐day interactive workshop is focused on business acumen including human resources, marketing, operations, sales, and financial management. Intensive hands‐on print services training.*
Phase 3. Spend 2 weeks (80 hours) in a The UPS Store location with a Certified Trainer. This training period allows you to further your skills you will have learned at The UPS Store University.
Your learning doesn’t end there. Throughout your time with The UPS Store, you will have opportunities to learn more. You’ll be expected to attend regularly scheduled area meetings to learn and share information. Webinars are held regularly on a variety of topics. Bi‐annual conferences are a great opportunity to pick up new skills, learn more about new products and programs, and to network within your franchisee community.
*In keeping with safety considerations related to Covid-19, The UPS Store Canada is currently hosting Phase 2 training as a virtual learning experience. As the health and safety of our community is a primary concern, the intention is to maintain virtual training for Phase 2 until it is deemed safe to introduce in-person learning.
