Motivational speaker and author Zig Ziglar said, “Happiness is not pleasure; it’s victory over odds that seem insurmountable.”
Try replacing happiness with the word “success.” Do it and your perspective shifts. At first the change is subtle, followed by a new way of thinking about being successful.
It is easy to believe that money plus fame equals success. That is the mathematics of pop culture, with a myth of “overnight success” thrown on top. But the truth is closer to Ziglar’s formula. I write it like this:
“Success is victory over odds that seem insurmountable.”
Starting a small business is a process of conquering obstacles that first seem impossible to beat. Therefore, success in business is accomplishing something you couldn’t do yesterday. Money and fame might follow, but the true reward is being victorious.
Bring your obstacles (small or big) to The UPS Store Brooklin. We’re a small business too. Together we will succeed, one printing project, shipped package, shredded document, and private mailbox at a time.
