Service Update: Fire At Fort McMurray, Alberta

Aeroplan and The UPS Store Deliver New Partnership for Members

Members can now earn miles on all their business needs 

Montreal, QC, May 6, 2013 – Aeroplan today announced it has entered into a multi-year agreement with The UPS Store Canada, the largest franchised network of retail shipping, print and business service centres in Canada. This agreement will enable Aeroplan Members to earn Aeroplan Miles in an additional retail category that focuses on small and medium business owners who have need for courier, packaging, mail box and printing services.

Starting today, members will be able to earn 1 mile per $1 spent at more than 360 participating stores across Canada. In addition, members who sign up for a The UPS Store Get More card will also receive:

• 1.5 miles for every $1 spent (to a maximum of $1,000)
• 500 miles for sign up

The UPS Store Canada Launches New Responsive Website

(TORONTO) May 2, 2013 – The UPS Store Canada has teamed up with Reshift Media to create and launch a network of websites encompassing both its national headquarters and its more than 360 locations across Canada.

The new site, www.theupsstore.ca, is stylistically consistent with The UPS Store’s US website, and is enhanced with additional functionality, including search and mobile optimization. The website incorporates leading-edge responsive design and includes small business-focused tools to ensure clients can easily access all of the services The UPS Store provides through both web and mobile, including shipping and parcel tracking, printing services, mailboxes and packaging.

The UPS Store Canada worked closely with Reshift Media to develop a website that includes:

  • Responsive HTML 5 design for a seamless experience on desktop, tablet and mobile
  • French and English versions
  • Individual pages for all of The UPS Store Canada’s 360+ locations, allowing local store owners the flexibility to customize their sites and include information relevant to their communities
  • Social media integration on the local pages, building on The UPS Store Canada’s previously announced social media initiative, enabling small businesses to share useful information and tools within their favorite social networks
  • Full search engine optimization, both in terms of content and underlying metadata and technology

The UPS Store Amplifies Its Local Facebook Reach with Reshift Media

(TORONTO) April 3, 2013 – The UPS Store Canada has partnered with Reshift Media to translate the tremendous reach of their nationwide physical locations into a strong, local social media presence.

As part of the initiative, The UPS Store has launched a comprehensive Facebook strategy to provide valuable information and tools for its customers and local small business owners through its national network of franchises.

At the core of the program is a locally-oriented social strategy which uses Facebook’s Parent-Child infrastructure (which allows brands to connect their corporate Facebook pages to all of their local ones) to create a Facebook presence for each of The UPS Store Canada’s more than 360 locations. This will allow The UPS Canada Store to establish a strong corporate Facebook page while also reaching and engaging their local customers through pages dedicated to each store and its community.

“We know that our small business clients are increasingly using social media and mobile to interact with customers and suppliers to transact business,” said David Druker, President of The UPS Store Canada. “Our objective is to assist small businesses by providing helpful tools and information wherever and whenever they need them, using both our national and local Facebook pages.”

The initiative is being implemented by Reshift Media, a digital marketing company specializing in social media, search and mobile.

In addition to creating a social media presence for each location, The UPS Store is the first to implement Reshift Media’s proprietary Social Brand Amplifier™ software, which builds on Facebook’s Parent-Child functionality by allowing brands to update and manage all of their local Facebook pages easily and efficiently.
